Who Are We
The EOS Documentation Project was created in response to the growing number of requests for operating instructions for old EOS cameras, flashes, and camera lenses.
In the project are a diverse group of photographers (amateurs and professionals) from all over the world. Our common bond is that we own and enjoy using photographic equipment in the Canon EOS ecosystem.
The project is the collaborative effort of volunteers connected through our passion via the internet. We are not supported by, nor are we affiliated with, the Canon company other than as users of Canon EOS equipment.
Aim
Many photographers have fully functioning EOS equipment but were not able to keep up with and thus do not have operating manuals. In some cases, the classic camera equipment has been discontinued from production, and the original documentation is no longer available.
The eosdoc.com is focusing efforts in two parallel directions.
One part of this project is to document and openly share our collective experience around using our equipment in fulfillment of our photographic ambitions. Many that are part of the community have created ways that allow us to push our photographic technique to the limits of the technology we have available.
The second part of our project is to create a freely accessible electronic database of EOS documentation that can help substitute when the original manuals are not available.
